First, the game has a lot in common with Pokmon games Silver, Gold, and Crystal. For example, players can choose to be a boy or a girl trainer, an internal clock sets events at certain times, and you're the game's handy-dandy Pokdex helps players keep track of the many stats. You're main goal is still to beat all the Gym Trainers and become the Pokmon Master. If you've played the old games, you will be right at home. But not all is the same. The most obvious change is in the battles themselves. Now that two Pokmon can fight on your side at the same time, you can tag-team them against an enemy by taking advantage of the strengths of your Pokmons while covering their weaknesses. For example, you can now have a water Pokmon watch your fire Pokmon's back. You can also attack more than one Pokmon at a time. A whole new element to the game focuses on how berries are used in battle. And if you collect enough berries, you can take them to a Berry Blender and make a PokBlock, which is a little super-charged candy that raises your Pokmon's "Condition" attributes. You can then groom your Pokmon for regional contests and compete for ribbons like "Best of Show," which will unlock additional contests. There's even strategy in how to best use your berries: pick too many and the berry tree will disappear; plant berries, though, and a tree will grow. You can also build a Secret Base in special areas of the game, which you can decorate just like you can your room. And let us not forget that Pokmon Ruby has a kickin' multiplayer system, too. You can trade Pokmon, and link up to four players for incredible battles. The only downside is that you can't link up with the old Game Boy Color games. --Bryan Karsh Pros:
Pokemon Ruby takes you into an immersive and more exciting new adventure as you travel and train to become a Pokemon master! Special features like connectivity with future GameCube games Link cable support for up to 4 players Supports e-Reader Only for Game Boy Advance
Pokmon Ruby's updated graphics with weather effects, amazing sound, more than 200 Pokmon with over 100 new species--as well as its faithful adherence to the existing series of Pokmon games--makes for a welcome evolution in the series.
Cons:
Didn't live up to the hype by a long shot.
*PROS*
*Addictive gameplay
*Lots of towns, cities and islands to explore
*Cute starters
*Graphics improved in spades over Gold/Silver versions
*Colorful
*Interesting
*Engulfing like the others
*CONS*
*Too many ugly, and strangely creepy Pokemon to look at
*Not as fun
*Felt rushed
*One main character (Boy) has white hair which was manage-able but the girl had wings as bangs (**LOL** I hated that! and picked the boy most of the time)
*The Pokemon Gym Leaders weren't all that cool
*Too many weird Pokemon
3.5 stars.

Any pokemon lover will love this game. This is my son's fav and he has emerald, saffire and red rescue. Entertains him and keeps him challenged!
true masterpiece
I don't think anyone can deny that this is probably the best Pokemon game released so far. The fact that so many people have reviewed it is proof of its well-deserved popularity.
I like the fact that you can be a boy or girl trainer, and keeping track of stats is very important and helps the game look and feel better than the other Pokemon games.
I also love the fact that you can be friends with another Pokemon so you can have two people on your side during battle. This really helps the gameplay stand far and above other Pokemon games.
Pokemon must have.
When I was about seven or maybe six years old, I was really into pokemon, all these years later and Pokemon Ruby has once again got me addicted to the 'Gotta Catch 'em all' slogan.
This game starts out with you (Boy/or Girl) going to Littleroot in a moving Van. All new pokemon, all new gym leaders, and all new plotline. Though it does share a similarity to the previous games, its still fun like you wouldn't believe.
PROS:
~30+ hours of gameplay and 50+ hours if you do intend to 'Catch'em all'
~All new pokemon
~Great graphics.
~New breeding, new two on two battles...ect....
CONS:
~Does get tedious after you beat the game, unless you head for BATTLE TOWER...
~Does not connect to older versions

Pokemon - Psychic Surprise (Vol. 7)
BY:Viz Video

The adventures of Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu veer toward the supernatural in this set of three episodes of the popular Pokmon series. In "The Ghost of Maiden's Peak," the perennially lonely Brock--and James of the evil but inept Team Rocket--find themselves smitten with the ghost of a beautiful girl who died 2,000 years ago. Ash learns an important lesson about self-sacrifice and concern for others when he gives up the first Pokmon he raised and trained in "Bye Bye Butterfree." Despite the best efforts of Team Rocket, Butterfree finds a mate and departs with her for their nesting grounds, giving this story an uncharacteristically downbeat ending. After being lost in the woods for the umpteenth time, our heroes reach Saffron City only to discover it's a very strange place in "Abra and the Psychic Showdown." They're rescued from their initial run-in with Team Rocket by Sabrina, a pretty little girl with mysterious psychic powers. The quartet learns that Sabrina can be an unreliable ally--and an unpredictable opponent. This cliffhanger ends with Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu setting out for nearby Lavender Village to capture a ghost Pokmon to use against Abra, Sabrina's psychic Pokmon. --Charles Solomon
A ghost appears and lures Brock into her trap! Butterfree falls in love, but Team Rocket is out to steal the entire swarm! Can Butterfree win his mate, and can Ash bear to part with the first Pokemon he ever caught? Psi Pokemon specialize in trickery, but Gym Leader Sabrina and her Pokemon, Abra, are the most devious team ever! Can Ash win the Marsh Badge or will he suffer a worse fate!? Episodes: The Ghost of Maiden's Peak, Bye Bye Butterfree, Abra and the Psychic Showdown
Great!
This Dvd is pretty good, but the last episode endes on a hang! Also buy Primape Problems so you can see what happens next! The 2nd episode is sort of sad. The 1st episode is kind of scary! Over all other than the Mystery of Mt. Moon, this is one of my favorite!
I love abbra!
This is a really great show! I only wish that they do show what happens to Sabrina, and how ash is going to defeat her and Abbra.I would also like to know what the jogger in the show meant about Ash being "the one" to save Sabrina. What is Sabrina's past history?
It is the best!!!!!
Psi Suprise is so good! Ghost at Maidens Peak with comedy. Bye Bye Butterfree with drama. And Abra and the Psychic Showdown with action! Buy this video. It is the best out of all of them!!
I think that this is one of the best epsasods.
I think that this is one of the best three epsasods in the seres
